Exponentially rare Texas Sword belt plate. Excavated in Louisa County, May 2007 with Texas buttons, near location at North Anna River, area of winter encampment of Texas, Mississippi and Georgia troops. Reference example in “Confederate Buckles & Belt Plates” by Steve E. Mullinax. Reference same pattern plate 325, on page 179.  Dimensions 51 X 79 mm. Plate has 50% of its original silver plating remaining.
