CS Artillery Waist Belt Plate

This very rare pattern exhibits the overall construction of the U.S. Army&146;s 1839 pattern “Artillery Plate.” hence it&146;s label “Artillery Style.” The extra large belt loops were an 1849 variation made to fit the two-inch wide belts issued for the Regiment of Rifleman. Several examples have been documented to be excavated in Gordonsville, Va, Louisiana camps and other known camp sites of Louisiana occupation. This example conforms exactly to Plates 066 & 067 on page 44 in the reference “Confederate Belt Buckles & Plates” Expanded Edition by Steve E. Mullinax. Exceptional example. CS Acquisitions provides our “Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.”
