Buttons of the Alabama Volunteers Corps

$2,000.00

Featured item: Beautiful, excavated Alabama Volunteers Corps button. Tice reference: AB212-A2 (Alberts AB 2B) convex two-piece. Manufactured in 1860 or 1861, collectors rarely see the 23mm buttons in comparison to their 21mm counterparts (AB214, 216 & 218) Collectors often call the specimens “overcoat buttons” simply because of their size, although they may have been worn on other garments. The A1 and A2 back marks are the rarest of the A.V.C. series. Very rare back mark **JAS CONNING ** / MOBILE. (23mm)
