Alabama roughly contributed 120,000 Confederate troops, forming units often composed of local men of Alabama. Featured is a very scarce non-excavated AVC buckle, surviving in an excellent state of original preservation, on authentic Confederate leather belt. This rare confederate plate shows the character of a Confederate plate, that has experienced campaign. Belt has been repurposed from a confederate cartridge box “over the shoulder strap” as is indicative, from “breast plate” slit area on belt. Exceptional condition.
