Made for James Warner of Springfield, Mass. by the Massachusetts Arms Co. Made c. 1864. Total quantity 1,501. 50 Warner rimfire, single shot; breechblock hinged on right side; loaded by lifting upward. Extraction by a manual slide at rear underside of forestock. 20 round barrel, brass frame, breech, trigger guard assembly, buttplate, finished bright. Walnut stock and numbered 26 at breechblock.
